About mgpages
mgpages is a collection of personality tests built from scenes of genre fiction. One independent creator does all of it — planning, writing the questions and results, translation and development.
Why ask through stories
When people answer an item like “I am a planner,” they usually pick the person they would like to be. Ask instead “What were you doing the moment before the truck hit you?” and something changes. Inside a scene there is no obvious right answer, so everyday habits show up first.
Every test on mgpages starts from that idea. We borrow the grammar of genres many people already love — being reborn in another world, the apocalypse, waking up as a romance-fantasy villainess, villains, cavemen — place you in the middle of a concrete scene, and ask what you do.
How the tests are made
In every test, each choice adds points to several trait indicators, and the resulting combination selects one of eight types. Each type has three variations, for 24 results in total. How the variation is chosen differs by test: in the isekai, romance-fantasy and villain tests you pick it yourself in a final question after six core questions, while the apocalypse test (8 questions) and the caveman test (9 questions) don't ask — they derive it from the overall shape of your scores.
Results are written as stories, not summaries: what kind of day this character has in their world, what gets them into trouble, and a piece of advice at the end. Each runs 400 to 1,800 characters in the original Korean, and every result is published on its test's results page for anyone to read.
Questions and results are written in Korean first, then adapted into English and Japanese (the isekai test into Japanese and Chinese). We care more about whether a reader in that language laughs at the same joke than about literal accuracy.
Principles
No sign-up, no personal information. Results are calculated in your browser. We never ask for anything that identifies you, such as a name or contact details, and anonymous visit and result statistics (Google Analytics) are collected only if you agree to cookies. The details are in the privacy policy.
Every result is entertainment. These are not validated psychological instruments and do not replace any medical or psychological diagnosis or professional advice. If you dislike your result, the test got you wrong.
Everything is written in-house. We don't take questions or results from other sites, and we don't copy text from existing works. We borrow the genre's clichés, but the stories are new.
What's next
New tests are in progress and will join the collection as they are finished. For existing tests we keep filling in missing translations and revising questions and results based on feedback. Changes are recorded in the update log below.
